DDExpandª is an expand-only version of DiskDoublerª App. DiskDoubler is the award-winning standard for file compression on the Macintosh. Salient's other products is AutoDoublerª, which automatically and transparently increases your hard disk space.
DDExpand can expand most DiskDoubler files, join split files and expand DiskDoubler combined files. It can also expand StuffIt 1.5.1 and PackIt files. It cannot compress files.
NOTE: Versions 3.7.2 and later, due to a licensing problem, can no longer expand DiskDoubler files compressed with the Sigma Designs DoubleUpª hardware board.
Salient retains all copyrights, trademarks and patent rights in DDExpand. Commercial distribution requires a license. DDExpand can be freely distributed, provided this document accompanies it and provided it is distributed in DiskDoubler format (or DiskDoubler SEA format or not compressed). If supplied on a floppy disk the following notice must be visible:
DDExpand can be usedas a simple installar. Over 100 developers license it to distribute their software. Salient also offers a full-featured installer program. Developers should contact Salient for details.
